El Salvador is awesome. Crowded buses, pupusarias, Burger King, Pizza Hut, etc. El Salvador is better than I imagined. The people are pretty nice. Here in El Salvador they say "buenas" instead of "hola" and it doesnt matter what the person is doing, they always say "buenas" back. Even when they are making out lol. My companion is Elder Lastra. He has been an enormous help to me. He is from Equador and he is 19 and has been in the mission for 11 months. Every missionary says that the time flies here. We`ll see.
My area is Apopa and we cover a town called Aguilares. We have been teaching a lot of people. I am able to speak a lot of spanish, but I cant understand!! Some of the people make fun of me but they are very encouraging too. We are teaching two young families right now and both of them have baptism dates. They are awesome!
Our house is pretty cool. We have running water except for a couple hours in the morning. The water is cold but that is no problem cause it is always hot here. I had to change my bed sheets the other night because it was drenched in my sweat. I sweat so much because I had a fever and I wore my sweater and sweats to break the fever. It worked. Im better now. We have a cocianera who cooks for us and washes our clothes. Right now, things are mellow. Im trying my best to deal with my stress and Im doing good. After a few days, I`ve began to adjust and enjoy this place.
Send me pictures of the family! Sorry I forgot my cord in the CCM for my camera so I have to get a new one.
